STACC was a vision in 1979 when our Pastor, then Brother Theodore Dillard, heard a voice saying, "Feed my sheep!" God then confirmed our Pastor’s calling in a dream, in which he saw himself kneeling before a rock with many people in white behind him. He was then taught and prepared for ministry at Greater Apostolic Faith Temple Church of San Diego by Bishop Charles L. Taylor (with the Lord).
Seven years after being led to Riverside County, Pastor Dillard obeyed God and started looking for a building on March 17, 1999, and started having bible classes in his home. With only six members, on August 8, 1999, STACC began having services at 12125 Day St in Moreno Valley, CA, a place 1st Lady Dillard had seen in a dream. It was at this location that STACC’s motto was born, “We’re not just another church – we’re a refuge!” Two families were added to the church in two months; and by 2002, three additional families had joined.
God told Pastor to move, and in June 2002 STACC began having service at 22405 Goldencrest Drive in Moreno Valley with five faithful families; and after adding more faithful members, God gave Pastor a vision to enlarge.
With only a few faithful members, Pastor leased an additional space, and in January 2006 the STACC family began worshipping in their newly remodeled sanctuary, complete with a new baptismal pool, sound room, carpeting and chairs. To accommodate a growing Sunday School, God moved on Pastor to add classrooms and additional office space. Believing that “… it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.” (1 Samuel 14:6), in 2007, the old sanctuary was remodeled. As a result, we have two offices, three classrooms, nursery, and storage closet.
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place! By the obedience of one man, and the support of many, we have built a place for the God’s name – Jesus Christ; a place where the Lord can abide and commune with His people.
