Gift of the Holy Ghost
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:38
But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified) John 7:39 |

- God owns everything because he created everything (Eze.18.4); however, all people are not the children of God. The Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit, Spirit of Christ) is God's witness that we are sons of God. Without the Spirit of God we are not God's, but children of the devil (Ro. 8:9).

|
| |
- But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

- God gives his Spirit to man so that they can worship him. True worship can only be offered when a person has the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit is truth.
|
| |
- But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23
- Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1 Cor. 12:3

- This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 1 John 5:6

|
| |

| |

- In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Eph. 1:13
|
|
| |
- The same Spirit that physically resurrected Jesus Christ from the grave resurrects us spiritually from the sin and death when we believe and by faith obey the gospel.
|
|
| |
- And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. John 1:33
