In the scriptures the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are the same. The gospels differ only because the writers wrote from their perspective. Some writers give more insight on certain acts and parables of Jesus, but that doesn't change the meaning of the message. For example, Jesus said the poor in spirit would inherit the kingdom of God.

| |
- Matthew wrote: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3
- Luke wrote: And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Luke 6:20
|
| |
Jesus came to give hope to the poor in spirit. By believing and receiving his message, the poor in spirit have access to the kingdom of God, which is Christ's kingdom. He is the Prince of the kingdom "of heaven," or the kingdom "of God," which is to come with power to deliver God's people from the kingdom and powers of this world, whose prince is Satan.
| |
| |
- Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. John 18:36
|
| |
There are not two kingdoms "of heaven." There is only one kingdom that is from heaven and that is God's. The coming of this kingdom was delivered by one gospel, and there is only one door of access to this kingdom and that is Jesus Christ.
| |
| |
- There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28
|
| |
We have the kingdom of God in us, and because we are God's children we see the spiritual things of the kingdom.
| |
| |
- "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33,
- "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6
- "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21
|
| |
Saints inherit and are in the kingdom of God through regeneration
| |
| |
- "Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you." Matthew 21:31
- "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:" Colossians 1:12-13
|
| |
Being born again, saints are in the world but not of the world because Jesus made a way out for us. We are in a spiritual warfare with the spiritual wickedness and our flesh, waiting for Christ to redeem our mortal/fleshly bodies.
| |
| |
- "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Romans 8:9
|
| |
While we are waiting for the redemption of our bodies, God, who cannot lie, gave us a security deposit to seal the promise (2 Cor. 5:1-6).
| |
| |
- "And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body." Romans 8:23
|
| |
Truth is hidden from unregenerate man and he will not understand spiritual things, but God reveals His secrets to His children so they will not perish with the world.
| |
| |
- "And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand." Luke 8:10
- "The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law." Deuteronomy 29:29
- "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." 1 John 5:20
|
| |
Saints have escaped the wrath of God to come against the ungodly. We have eternal hope, which is an anchor for our soul. Therefore, when trouble comes we don't sorrow or have to fear of condemnation, because we have been born again, and have a refuge for our soul (1 Thess. 1:5-1-10, He. 6:18-19)
Special Message:
| |
| |
If you want to be delivered from sin and the powers of darkness or
If you want to be in Christ Jesus and dwell in the kingdom of God or
If you walk in fear of God's wrath and want the same hope and confidence of eternal life as the body of Christ, you must be born again of water and spirit (John 3:3-7) or
