And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.   Matt. 1:21
|
| |
| |
If Jesus came into the world to deliver his people from sin, it is wise to say, that the power of salvation is in his name.
| |
| |
Salvation means, "deliverance or rescued from sin," therefore the only name that can bring salvation is "Jesus Christ." Any other name, title, or acronym will not bring any spiritual or eternal results.
|
| |
According to the letters to the New Testament church, every spiritual act we do, should be done in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God, through Jesus Christ (Col. 3:17).
| |
| |
Without hesitation, contemplation, meditation, or consultation, we should be water baptized in Jesus' name; as we descend into our watery grave we should hear the minister cry, "In the name of Jesus!" This proclamation should be done with as much, or more enthusiasm as saying to wedded couples, "I now pronounce you man and wife."
Many are calling on his name in their services and meetings because there notable power in the name of Jesus. The scriptures testify Jesus' name should be used to bring about spiritual results and glorify God ourFather.

What is the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost?
|
| |
the Son
Matt. 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came in his Father's name.
the Holy Ghost
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Holy Ghost, is the Spirit of the Resurrected Christ. It is the same Spirit that overshadowed Mary and gave her power to conceive the Lamb of God. It is the same Spirit that created the world, and the same Spirit makes us sons of God today.
In order for Jesus Christ to give us power to become sons of God, he had to go to be crucified. His death made it possible for sinners to be reconciled unto God.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Philippians 2:9-11
